2010-11 REGISTRATION
Returning Family Registration Timeline: Priority / Returning Family Registration packets were due May 14, 2010. A partial registration fee of $50 was also due with the completed paperwork. The balance of the registration fee must be paid by June 11, 2010.
New Family / Open Registration Timeline: Open Registration packets are due June 16, 2010. New families are asked to pay the full registration fee at the time of registration. If that is not feasible, please consult with Outreach & Enrollment Coordinator, Pablo Salazar, at (916) 733-0271.
ADMISSIONS POLICY
Holy Cross School, a parochial school serving West Sacramento, offers students a quality Catholic education for the elementary grades K-8. The school is fully accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
Holy Cross School provides an education to children regardless of race, color, national or ethnic origin, or religious affiliation. The school offers a top-notch academic program, a fully equipped computer lab, elective band and baton programs, choir and after school sports. A hot lunch program is also available to all students. In addition the school offers an extension program on site to facilitate working parents.
ORDER OF PRIORITY FOR ACCEPTANCE
1. Families attending Holy Cross Parish
2. Students transferring from another Catholic school
3. Catholic families from other parishes
4. Non-Catholic families
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
Registration at Holy Cross School requires the following:
• Birth Certificate
• Immunization records showing child has received the immunizations required by law.
• Baptismal Certificate
• If child is coming from another school, a copy of the most recent report card or school record.
• A completed registration packet signed by the parent/guardian.
• A non-refundable fee per child must be paid at the time of registration.
• Agreement by Non-Catholic students to participate in religious classes and attend church services/prayer services which are incorporated into the school day.
PROBATION:
1. Transfer students are admitted on a probationary basis.
2. If a student has difficulty adjusting, a conference among the parent(s)/guardians, teacher(s) and Principal will be scheduled.
3. At the Principal’s discretion, a student may be required to leave Holy Cross School.
